Introduction
Collective Architecture have developed proposals on behalf of the Wheatley Group, for a new build, affordable mixed-tenure housing development. Providing circa 155 homes for Mid Market and Social Rent, there will be a mixture of flats and houses, with associated open space and infrastructure works.
The Glasgow City Council Housing Land Audit 2024 identifies the site as a location for new housing development, and it is the intention of the Wheatley Group to bring the site forward as an application for detailed planning consent in 2025. Pre-application engagement is currently being undertaken with the local planning authority for the development site.
Consultation Process
The Proposal of Application Notice (PAN) has been submitted by Montagu Evans on behalf of Wheatley Group, and provides the planning authority prior notice of a planning application. As part of the PAN process two public drop-in events will be held for members of the public, as per Scottish Government requirements, and as set out on the PAN form.
In addition, consultation activity will comprise:
Dedicated website www.springfieldroad-glasgow.co.uk outlining pre-application consultation details (including how to engage and time limits) development proposals, background, and contact information.
Offer of meeting with named parties within the PAN form (Local Councillors and Community Councils).
Time period for comments to the public drop-in events will be available until 21 days following publication of the local newspaper advert or 14 days following the second drop in consultation, whichever is the later.
Online consultation will comply with current Data Protection obligations.
We trust the above provides sufficient detail but please do not hesitate to get in touch should you require any further information.
